How I Solved My Stomach Issue

My Stomach Needed a Break

I tried just about everything, and nothing worked until I went to a liquid…

MY STOMACH WAS KILLING ME.
Several years ago, I faced severe gastrointestinal issues that significantly impacted my life, leaving me bedridden and fearing the worst. I experienced persistent pain that shifted locations—sometimes in my intestines, side, or center, often striking simultaneously. I suffered from bloating, nausea, and irregular bowel movements. Despite extensive blood tests and CT scans showing no abnormalities, a colonoscopy and endoscopy revealed serious issues: two ulcers, stomach inflammation, irritation, and early signs of Barrett’s esophagus, a precancerous condition. Acid reflux was also a problem, leading my doctor to prescribe Omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor.

Omeprazole reduced acid but worsened my symptoms, so I reduced its use to every other day. A holistic practitioner recommended a drastic diet change, which, along with losing 48 pounds, alleviated some symptoms. However, bloating and pain persisted, though less severe. I learned my stomach needed a break from constant digestion, as experts suggested the body isn’t designed for three to four large daily meals. Intermittent fasting didn’t work consistently for me, so I sought another approach.

Inspired by someone with similar issues, I adopted a new routine: eating dinner early (5:30 PM) and replacing breakfast with a liquid meal to ease digestion and give my stomach a rest without fasting. I also started taking DML CBD Softgels in the morning with hopes of reducing inflammation, and I stopped using Omeprazole due to concerns about its long-term risks — including potential links to intestinal cancers.

I did an incredible amount of research about what ingredients to put into a morning shake. I dabbled with a bunch of recipes, but nothing worked. They’d either tasted terrible or were too expensive and time consuming. Finally, about 3 weeks into the experiment, I hit gold — the perfect mixture (see below).

I drank my shake every day, without missing a day.
Within months, I was off Omeprazole and all antacids, and my symptoms improved dramatically—99% normal. My bowel movements became regular, with healthy shape and color, bloating disappeared, and my energy increased. Follow-up colonoscopy and endoscopy showed no ulcers, inflammation, irritation, or Barrett’s esophagus risk.

TODAY
It’s the shake for breakfast. For lunch, I eat my largest meal of the day, and by 6pm I have a small to medium sized dinner. I’ll share my lunch and dinner choices with you another time.

MY LIQUID BREAKFAST
Below is the formulation used for my morning shake — I make this for myself EVERY DAY, 7 days per week. If gives me tons of nutrition, protein, and energy. It also tastes pretty dang good and fills me up for hours. Lastly, it triggers a nice morning stool.

STEP 1: Using a blender, fill with the following:
—> 10 ice cubes
—> 2 cups of non-dairy, lactose free milk (or instead, you can use two cups of water but it is less thick and doesn’t taste as good.)
—> 1 banana
—> 1 cup of frozen blueberries
—> 2 table spoons of peanut butter (use organic with no added sugars)
—> 1 scoop of Green Vibrance (no, I do not get a commission).
—> 1 full cap of Miralax.

STEP 2: Blend until liquified (typically, one minute).

STEP 3: Take a DML CBD Softgel when drinking. Drink slow.

MY-TIP: The Miralax helps with the morning poop, and since I incorporated it into the daily morning shake — per the suggestion from my doctor at Mayo Clinic — my bloat has disappeared. The Green Vibrance, which is a super food, is a life saver in the sense I get the power of veggies and other probiotic essentials. Also, for those of you who love to have morning coffee, but would like to cut down on the java for sake of tamping down those acids, I add to my shake a coffee drink with zero sugars. I do NOT use it every day, more like a few days per week just to shift the taste a little. When I use it, I use one cup, and therefore I lower the non-dairy milk to one cup.

Yesterday’s poll asking if statins are a scam… More than 90% of respondents voted, YES. Today’s poll is below…
